An opportunity to learn basic carpentry skills to prepare you for a role onsite as a carpenters mate or skilled labourer alongside level 1 H&S allowing you to be eligible for a CSCS card.
Over the 5 weeks you would learn the concepts and practical of how to do some of the following:
• Measure and calculate resources needed to price up a job correctly.
• Build stud walls
• Cover stud walls
• Put in and replace skirting boards
• Door linings, how to fix problems with them.
• Put in and replace architrave.
• Cut hinges into doors
• Hang a little door
All the while learning about health and safety on a worksite. Giving you the confidence to take these skills back home and safely do those little jobs.
