Transport to Cornwall College Campuses

Transport guidance if you are 16-18
(or 19-25 with an Educational Health Care Plan in place)

All students requiring a bus pass to the campuses below must apply to Cornwall Council for a travel pass:

  • Cornwall College Camborne
  • Cornwall College Newquay
  • Cornwall College St Austell

Travel passes for 2020/2021 are £515 and can be paid for in termly installments. A copy of the bus routes for these sites can be found below for your reference.

If you are 19 +

If you are studying at one of the sites below, Cornwall Council may accept applications for a travel pass if you are in the 2nd year of a 2 year programme, and have previously been accepted, although this is not guaranteed. Please call 0330 123 2523 and ask for Student Services.

Bursary Assistance

If your Household Income was below £31,000 for the 2019/20 tax year, funding for a bus pass may be available via our 16-18 (and 19-25 with an EHCP) Bursary Funds:

16 – 18 Transport & Access to Education Bursary.

This bursary is to financially support 16 – 18 (19 – 25 with an Educational Health Care Plan) learners with a household income of less than £21,000 for the financial year 2019 / 20, or those who fulfil the eligibility criteria below.
• Child in Care
• Care Leaver
• Young person 16 – 18 in receipt of Income Support / Universal Credit in your own right
• Young Person 16 – 18 in receipt of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Personal Independence Payment (PIP) AND Employment Support Allowance (ESA) / Universal Credit in your own right

16 – 18 Transport Bursary.

This travel bursary is to financially support learners aged 16 – 18 (and 19 – 25 with an Educational Health Care Plan) with a household income of between £21,001 and £31,000 for the financial year 2019 / 20.

If you are studying an apprenticeship you can still apply for a travel pass but are unable to apply for bursary funding support.

19+ FE Bursary Fund

If your Household Income was below £31,000 for the 2019/2020 tax year, funding for the full cost of a travel pass may be available via our 19+ Bursary Fund:
