Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard Level 3

Primary school teacher in a classroom of children If you love working with children and would like a career in a supporting role in a school, then studying one of our apprenticeships is ideal for you. Helping to look after the educational, social, physical and emotional development of school-age children is incredibly satisfying. So if you have great communication skills, are planned and organised then this career route is ideal for you.

What you will learn

You will attend college one day a week where you will learn from a range of interesting themes including child development and observation, planning for play and learning, health and safety, safeguarding, creativity, nutrition and diet, and professional development.

Entry requirements

GCSEs at grade 4 in English language and maths, plus an employer willing to take you on as an apprentice.

Progression

University study such as our HNC or FdA Children, Schools & Families with possible progression on to our BA (Hons) Children, Schools & Families (Top-up degree) or our BA (Hons) Education & Curriculum studies (Top-up degree).

Employment in the childcare and education sector.
