You want to develop the skills required to work in the sport therapy field.
three GCSEs at grade C or 4, including English and mathematics, or a Level 2 qualification or higher in any health or fitness discipline.
Functional anatomy, physiology and nutrition for sports therapies, applying sports massage methods to non-pathological tissue. You will gain an understanding of the advanced palpation skills and massage techniques to prevent and manage injury in sport and active leisure. You will also analyse posture and learn a range of movement massage techniques to prevent and manage injury in sport.
To produce a portfolio of evidence comprising observed work, witness statements, evidence of prior learning or attainment, written assignments, and externally set and marketed theory papers.
Learning practical massage techniques by carrying out at least 50 hours of massage.
Our Sports Massage Therapy Certificate level 4 or employment in the sports related industries independently or in a supervisory position as a sports massage practitioner. You could even tutor other sports massage students at levels 1-3.
