Tote Bag - Sewing Workshop

Silver Stacking Rings Beginners Jewellery Workshop

Silver Jewellery - Improvers (Evening)

This course is designed for individuals who feel confident using basic jewellery techniques, such as those taught during the beginner course, e.g. soldering, piecing, filing etc (please see Silver Jewellery Beginners course description). This course will enable the participant to create lovely silver jewellery with bezel set semi-precious stones advancing to the skill of setting popular locally found sea glass and will also include guidance on how to apply these techniques to design and make your own individual jewellery. Materials are provided for the first project and your tutor will advise you of where you can buy any further materials you need. Please wear old clothes or bring an apron to protect your clothes and footwear should not be open toed. Please bring a note pad and pen. These courses are now full. Welding Skills - ARC/MIG (Evening)

This course is perfect if you are a complete beginner or have limited welding knowledge. Ideal if you want to learn a new skill, if you are creative, if you want to repair your own car or even a garden gate. On this course you will learn a basic understanding of the different Welding processes used in industry and at home. Gaining a basic understanding of Manual Metal ARC welding (stick) and Metal Arc Gas Shielded (MIG), covering Flat and H/V single weld beads, re-joining of runs, welding outside corner joints, Butt welds and horizontal/vertical fillet welds on 3-6mm thick plate. The MIG/Mags welding section will cover the setting-up of the machine (gas, volts and wire speed etc) for correct operation to deposit welds in the horizontal/vertical and Flat welding positions, material thickness 1-6mm. Silver Bangle & Charm Beginners Jewellery Workshop

This workshop is designed for the beginner. It will cover a variety of techniques to produce a beautiful, individual silver bangle and silver charm, all in one day. The techniques taught will include measuring your bangle size, soldering, texturing and finishing. All of these techniques covered are a good starting block if you wish to continue to learn jewellery making. You will be provided with handouts containing a list of tools and materials used including recommended suppliers.
