Preparation for University Study within the Children, Young People and Health Sector

Primary school teacher in a classroom of children This one-day taster will give you an insight into being a university student at Cornwall College St Austell on our Foundation Degree in Child and Family Studies. You could then choose to apply for the Foundation Degree for a September 2024 start or if you have already applied it will give you an insight into what to expect.

What you will learn

A taster of a lecture and seminar style session, with a focus on the introduction to sociology, through a childhood lens.

An introduction to study skills, such as research, structuring assignments and referencing.
