The course has been designed to provide an introduction to plumbing as well as providing an opportunity to meet guest speakers from industry during the programme, therefore building bridges towards improved career prospects.

Studying the Plumbing Skills Bootcamp programme will support you to develop your confidence, team skills, maths, communication, Health & Safety and employability skills. Delivery is 85% practical and 15% theory.

In plumbing you will learn how to handle tools safely carry out practical skills such as cutting, bending and joining pipes and fittings, backed up by some classroom theory to introduce you to concepts of plumbing and heating systems and how they work.

You’ll be learning from highly experienced trade professionals who are on hand to provide excellent levels of support.

Skills for Life | Skills Bootcamps

This 10 week introduction to Plumbing will cover the use of hand tools, components and terminology used in the construction industry. You will learn how to perform practical skills such as cutting, bending and joining pipes and fittings.

Skills Bootcamps are open to anyone 19 or over, who are self-employed, employed or unemployed. For those currently not in employed, you will be offered a guaranteed interview with an employer upon successful completion of the bootcamp.
