An exciting opportunity to study aerospace & aviation engineering at Foundation Level 2 in readiness for progression onto Level 3 or an apprenticeship in the Aerospace/Aviation industry.

Learners will develop basic airframe repair techniques and hand fitting skills, an introduction in to human factors (managing risk in the Aero engineering environment)

Entry requirements for external applicants and school leavers
• Two or more GCSEs at grade 4 or above including maths and English, or successful completion of a relevant Level 1 qualification and maths and English grade 4.
• Functional Skills Level 2 in maths will be considered as alternative to GCSE, but GCSE resit may be required depending on grade.

Entry requirements for existing learners with the Cornwall College Group
• Successful completion of previous course and maths GCSE at grade 4 or above and English GCSE at grade 3 or above

Opportunities will exist to potentially gain work experience with local Aero Engineering employers, including industry visits as part of the curriculum plan.

Learners will be assessed through practical tasks and classroom based assignments.
