A care assistant handing a tray of food to an elderly patient This virtual taster session is specially tailored to provide the key introduction you need to get started and launch your career in care. If you are interested in working in the care sector but don’t know where to start, then this is perfect for you!

Working in social care offers:
- Flexible shifts – fit work around our other commitments

- A varied and responsible role caring for people with a range of support needs

This interactive 1 day course will allow you gain an understanding of the key skills, behaviours and attributes that are needed to work in the care sector.

You will identify the types of careers available to qualified and unqualified practitioners, and the courses that are available to support your career pathways.

Our clinical lecturer will guide you through some key terminology and practical activities that can be used when working or volunteering in the sector, which could be built upon on one of our accredited courses.
