Introduction to Creative Textiles
In this workshop you will have fun creating a wall hanging or picture of your chosen landscape, seascape or garden. The source of inspiration could be holiday photograph of some significant place or your favourite garden.
The aim of this workshop is to develop your creative design skills, experiment with different fabrics and learn about curved piecing techniques. The piece can be embellished with hand stitching, embroidery stitches in which we will learn a new one each week, and also sewing machine stitches.
£10 fee for materials.

Progression
Following on from this course, you may opt to take the Access to Creative Arts course available at the college to support you with progressing onto a higher education Art Degree.
