You would like to develop industry specific skills in one of 3 pathways and progress onto an apprenticeship.
This course is available for all learners under 19 as well as 19+. If you haven't achieved a grade 4/C at GCSE for maths and English we will work with you to improve your grade.
Along with practical skills developed in our industry specific classrooms, you will develop your behaviours, competency and employability work skills to make you stand out from the crowd.
To spend half of your time in college in our workshops, salons or kitchens to get direct, hands on experience in the industry you wish to work on. The rest of your time in college will focus on your personal work skills and making sure you’ve got your maths and English qualifications, which are your passport to being employed and securing a place on an apprenticeship.
Upon successful completion of this programme, you will be guaranteed a place on a full time course, starting in September 2019 in the industry area you’ve focused on.
Also, the apprenticeship recruitment team will prioritise your apprenticeship application and proactively promote you to employers who are considering taking on an apprentice in the industry area you studied during this programme. The recruitment team will also support you in finding your own placement so you may progress onto an apprenticeship.
