Virtual event aims to support recovery of South West businesses

Expert speakers from various sectors are sharing their insights on how skills and support can help businesses in the region recover post pandemic at an event later this month.

Hosted by CCB Training, which forms part of The Cornwall College Group (TCCG), the interactive event will take place on Friday 23rd April 9.30am – 10.45am.

“This event is key for businesses to navigate the plethora of government incentives to support them as we come out of lockdown”, commented Justin Olosundѐ, TCCG’s Assistant Principal for External Engagements and Business Innovation, adding it was an event “not to be missed”.

“Understanding the support available to local businesses will help our economy recovery and come out stronger,” he said.

“We also want to hear from businesses from all sectors, to understand what skills and support they need, and we urge them to join us at our virtual event.

“We have a great line-up of industry experts who will share their experience and plans for recovery,” Added Justin.

Speakers include Paul Coles, Chief Executive Officer at the South West Business Council (SWBC), James Hampton, Head of Development and Engagement at Seasalt, Dawn George, Director of HR and Inclusion at The Eden Project, Kate Ellis, PR and Social Value Manager at Kier Group and Phillip Anthony, Sales and Marketing Director at DP Engineering.

John Evans, Principal and CE of TCCG will be opening the event highlighting the “importance of working together so that we can tailor our provision to support local business’s needs.”
