Graduates celebrate success at Truro Cathedral

Proud friends and family members gathered at Truro Cathedral to celebrate graduates from university-level courses at The Cornwall College Group (TCCG).

The impressive setting played host to two ceremonies that captured the pride and excitement of local and national students who chose to study in Cornwall and Devon.

Nearly 250 graduates, from institutions under the TCCG umbrella, including Eden Project University Centre, Newquay University Centre, Duchy College, Bicton College, Falmouth Marine School, The Golf Education Partnership and Cornwall College University Centre, came together to celebrate their achievements with family and friends.

Principal and CE of TCCG, John Evans expressed “great pride in overseeing students graduate in such a diverse number of subject areas, such as horticulture and landscape design, ecological restoration, environmental farming, golf and business degrees, wildlife education and counselling to name a few.

“They’ve shown unwavering determination and passion in order to succeed, with the commencement ceremony being the culmination of years of meticulous study and hard work,” John continued.

This year, TCCG was awarded a Silver rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) which positions the university centre as one of the top higher education providers in the South West.
