Cornwall College St Austell Development: Exhibition of Proposals
Members of the public are invited to attend an exhibition of proposals for the development of Cornwall College St Austell.
Taking place on the 25th April between 2pm and 7pm at The Keay Theatre, attendees will be able to view and discuss the proposals for the important redevelopment of the College, before a planning application is submitted in May.
The exhibition will include visuals of the campus redevelopment and give people the opportunity to speak with members of the team.
This is the next stage of the exciting new proposals for the campus after it was named as one of just 16 colleges in England to receive a significant investment as part of the Government’s Further Education Capital Transformation Fund.
The fund was first launched in September 2020 to rebuild and transform college estates and create modern spaces that meet the needs of students and the communities they serve.
Concept designs for the campus were released by appointed contractor BAM with Principal and Chief Executive of The Cornwall College Group, John Evans saying:
“This is absolutely massive for the St Austell community and surrounding areas and those wanting a positive, vibrant and meaningful education delivered in the most inspirational buildings in the region.
“Our learners will benefit from the most modern and engaging college facilities in the country, with the added bonus of being one of the first carbon neutral colleges in the UK.
These are incredibly exciting times for St Austell and we are thrilled to be working with BAM to make the redevelopment of the College a reality.” John continued.
For those who are unable to attend, the exhibition will be posted on the college website.
