Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at Grade 4 and above

Submit an audition video of you playing your chosen instrument (or singing)

Work experience

Learners are expected to complete 60 hours of work experience on this course. They will be supported to find placements by their tutors, but they are advised to think about options before joining the course. Learners will have the opportunity to engage with events in our very own Keay Theatre, and with our college partners.

Assessment

The course is assessed on practical and theoretical coursework, including performances, rehearsals, evaluations, event planning and recordings.

Progression

As well as starting your journey in becoming a freelance musician, you will also be supported to apply and audition for HE courses such as BMus in Music Performance, Songwriting, Music Production, Popular Music
