Excitement, teamwork and determination were on full display at Duchy College Stoke Climsland as apprentices from across the region gathered for the eighth annual Apprenticeship Games.
The event brought together 45 apprentices, all eager to take on a series of challenges designed to test their problem-solving skills, leadership and collaboration. 
After a day of intense competition, A&P emerged as the overall champions, proudly taking home the gold medals and the prestigious Apprenticeship Games Trophy.
Their teamwork and determination set them apart, making them worthy winners of this year’s title.
Commenting on another successful year of the competition, Teresa Copping, Head of Apprenticeships at The Cornwall College Group, said: “This year’s competition was one of the most exciting yet, and it was incredible to see the enthusiasm and teamwork displayed by all the participants. Congratulations to A&P and a huge well done to everyone who took part.”
Teresa continued: “The Apprenticeship Games are a fantastic opportunity for apprentices to showcase their skills, build confidence and connect with peers from different industries.” 
“I’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the dedicated members of staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, whether hosting activities, chaperoning teams or ensuring everything ran smoothly. Their commitment and enthusiasm truly made this event a resounding success,” she added.
Stephen Roberts from Cornwall Opportunities, the main sponsor of this year’s games, extended his congratulations to A&P, as well as to all the participants, and handed out the bronze, silver and gold medals.
A spokesperson from A&P expressed their pride in the team’s achievement: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won this year’s Apprenticeship Games. The event was a fantastic experience for our apprentices, allowing them to put their skills to the test, work together under pressure and learn from others.” 
“Competing against such talented teams made the victory even more rewarding. A huge thank you to Duchy College for hosting such a well-organized and inspiring event, we can’t wait to return next year,” they added.
