The Animal Husbandry School at Bicton College is a state-of-the art facility for the training of students wishing to work in a diverse range of careers within the animal industry. A position has become available for a part time (0.6 )Technician in Animal Management to assist in the care and maintenance of animal-based resources for the Animal Management Department, working with a wide range of animal species, including small mammals, exotics, aquatics, birds and farm livestock.
The postholder may also be required to assist staff with the supervision of students of a range of ages and abilities during practical sessions and will work closely with the Animal Management team. Applicants must have a good level of experience of working with animals and must have completed at least a Level 2 in Animal Care/Management (or an equivalent qualification). A full, clean driving licence and own transport are also essential.
