This course is for those that have completed the Introductory Composite Materials and Processing course. You will already have a basic understanding of the health and safety protocols, however this will advance your skills. Your will further develop your skills in resin infusion, vacuum consolidation and using a variety of composite materials such carbon fibre, Kevlar and closed cell foam reinforcement to produce a product or enhance an existing product.

Jonny’s expertise and experience extends to building and maintaining historic replicas for museums, fibreglass production yacht building, repairs and restoration of wooden boats. Jonny has been in charge of a team of shipwrights, building replica boats for film and TV productions, as well as the marine coordination for the Warner Bros. film ‘Clash of the Titans’. Jonny was also the head shipwright on the construction of ‘The Hereford Bull’, a replica trow built for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
