In order to complete this apprenticeship you must be employed in a role where you are operating construction plant machinery e.g. excavators, forklifts, tractors, road rollers, dumpers, loading shovels.

You would like to operate construction plant machinery on controlled sites.
There are no formal entry requirements, but you must be employed in a relevant role operating construction plant. If you aren't currently employed as an apprentice we can help you find a suitable employer.
You should also have grade D or above in GCSE English and maths.
You will gain practical experience in operating a variety of equipment including excavators, forklifts, dumpers and road rollers.
To build a portfolio of evidence with your workplace assessor and attend college one day per week.
Learning the skills necessary to gain the Construction Plant Competence Certificate (CPCS) operator's card.
Our Construction Plant Maintenance Apprenticeship level 3 or gain wider experience and become more competent, working with a variety of machines in full-time employment.
