Gamekeeping Diploma

Duchy College Rosewarne | Stoke Climsland LEVEL: 1 Agriculture & Countryside Management

Creating and maintaining good, healthy habitats which are beneficial to all wildlife is at the heart of a gamekeeper’s job. Gamekeeping has changed significantly over the years and while you will still be responsible for the husbandry of both reared and wild game for shooting, your time will also be spent helping to shape the countryside and protecting its species.

We offer three options for you to gain a career in the gamekeeping industry depending on your GCSE results. Our Level 3 course offers you the choice of university study or employment on successful completion of your course. Our Level 2 and Level 1 courses are ideal should your GCSEs not be what you expected, with the option to progress to Level 2 or Level 3.

This full-time level 1 course is ideal for anyone interested in outdoor practical skills and is a great introduction to gamekeeping. Throughout the course you will learn a range of gamekeeping disciplines including habitat management and caring for game animals.
