Working with and Understanding LGBTQIA+ Issues (FREE Course)

Our new one-day workshop provides an insight into the field of LGBTQIA+ and gives professionals, friends and family members the opportunity to learn about the challenges faced by this community and the resulting emotional and psychological stressors which can develop.

We will explore the origins of the movement through to current social, religious, cultural, legal and geographic factors which impact wellbeing and can lead to internalised phobias.

By the end of the workshop we hope that you will have an increased understanding of the complex issues affecting this community with a clear idea about how to use appropriate language with sensitivity and empathy. The workshop will be run by a professional counsellor and Director of Pegasus Men’s Wellbeing Centre, with lived in experience of working in the field.

The discussion will be supported by case-studies and there will be plenty of opportunities for questions and guidance.
