This course is designed for the beginner or those with very little experience.

It will cover a variety of techniques to produce beautiful, individual jewellery with the aim to wear it once complete. The techniques taught will include an introduction to piercing, ring sizing, filing, texturing and finishing.

Materials are provided for the first project and your tutor will advise you of where you can buy any further materials you need. Please wear old clothes or bring an apron to protect your clothes and footwear should not be open toed. Please bring a note pad and pen.

Come and develop new skills with an experienced tutor using your own pattern, fabric and sewing kit to make a garment of your choice. You will need a sewing pattern of your choice and all the materials needed to make your chosen item. You will also need a general sewing kit, to include tape measure, pins, needles, thread and scissors. Please bring with you any of these items that you already have and advice on these and what else you will need will be given to you at the first class by the tutor. Silver Jewellery – Improvers (Evening)

No Qualification • Part-time • Cornwall College Camborne


This course is designed for individuals who feel confident using basic jewellery techniques, such as those taught during the beginner course, e.g. soldering, piecing, filing etc (please see Silver Jewellery Beginners course description). This course will enable the participant to create lovely silver jewellery with bezel set semi-precious stones advancing to the skill of setting popular locally found sea glass and will also include guidance on how to apply these techniques to design and make your own individual jewellery. Materials are provided for the first project and your tutor will advise you of where you can buy any further materials you need. Please wear old clothes or bring an apron to protect your clothes and footwear should not be open toed. Please bring a note pad and pen. These courses are now full.
