This course is designed for the beginner or those with very little experience.

It will cover a variety of techniques to produce beautiful, individual jewellery with the aim to wear it once complete. The techniques taught will include an introduction to piercing, ring sizing, filing, texturing and finishing.

Materials are provided for the first project and your tutor will advise you of where you can buy any further materials you need. Please wear old clothes or bring an apron to protect your clothes and footwear should not be open toed. Please bring a note pad and pen.

If you are interested in a career in photography and have your sights set on a future in the creative industries then look no further as this is the course for you. The course is constructed with practical projects and hands on learning – you’ll be spending a lot of taking photographs in and out of college. This course is delivered at both Cornwall College Camborne and Cornwall College St Austell. You will work on projects that are written to allow you to develop skills in both digital and analogue processes across a range of photographic applications. By the end of the course you will have a diverse portfolio to take to employers, universities or to show clients. At the end of each year of study you will be given the chance to choose your own specialism and create a completely individual product based on the strengths and skills you have developed. What will you create? The choice is yours! You will go on trips to various locations and visit photographer’s studios. For this Workshop you will need your own sewing machine (in good working order) and manual and your own sewing kit including scissors, pins, needles, tape measure and tailor's chalk or other fabric marker. You will also need to bring your own fabric, thread, lining etc and you will be informed the amounts nearer the start date. This is a FREE* workshop - so apply online now so you don't miss out! *This workshop will be free for students who will be 19+ as of 31.08.21 and have not attended the workshop before. Learn To Use Your Overlock Machine – Sewing Workshop

Learn to use your overlock machine - bring along any make or model of overlock machine in good working order and your manual. By the end of the workshop you should feel confident setting up and using your machine. You will learn how to thread your machine from scratch and how to get the tension correct on different fabrics. You will also learn how to set your machine to do different stitches for different sewing processes. For this workshop, as well as your own overlock machine and manual, you will also need your general sewing kit, including fabric scissors, tape measure, pins, tailor's chalk or other fabric marker, needles and thread. You will need small pieces of a variety of different fabrics, including woven and knitted constructions for your practise samples. You will also need to bring fabric and thread to make a product in the afternoon, depending on the requirements of the group, and you will be informed of the amounts needed nearer the start date.
