Plastering is an essential finishing trade within the construction industry. Plastering tasks can be varied and consist of:

Internal Plaster Finishes
External render Finishes
Screeding floors.
Installing Sheet Materials
You could in time progress within the industry and deal with more specialist materials like:

Specialist External Insulation Systems
Venetian Plasters
Flowing Screeds
Design Screeds.
If you have an eye for detail you will excel in the plastering trade.

  What You Will Learn

Requirements for health and safety.

You will also gain knowledge of the industry as a whole so you understand your place within the industry. You'll learn how to work safely and efficiently to produce internal and external finishes to a high standard.

Learn about the problems you may face when plastering and how to overcome them.

GCSE grade 4 in English and maths to enrol on this course and previous experience through Level 1 Plastering Diploma or other site experience in plastering.

Are you working in the construction industry but do not have a NVQ qualification in your specialist trade? If so On Site Assessment & Training (OSAT) is your route to gaining recognition for the skills that you possess. OSAT allows you to continue working full time on site with no college attendance needed. A specialist assessor will work with you in the workplace to guide you through your qualification ensuring you know exactly what to do to successfully complete your NVQ qualification. Completing the level 4 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Supervision OSAT will make you eligible to apply for a CSCS Black Senior Manager Card. Site Carpentry

This course could change your life it’s an active well paid job your after and you want to travel the world. The course will enable you to take your carpentry skills far beyond the usual DIY level and give you an understanding of general building construction along with the part a carpenter plays in the construction of al sorts of buildings. The course will enable you to work confidently in a construction related work place. All of our training takes place in a construction related environment and with carpentry you’ll be working on your own timber frame house either in our large workshops or outside to add a bit more site realism to the course. We have a large range to tools and equipment for you to practice with, you’ll also have access during the course to our wood machine shop to experience the machines we have. Your teaching will be delivered by highly experienced qualified trades people who have many years’ experience of working in the construction industry.

Perfect for anyone interested in either improving their DIY skills, or for existing trades people who are looking to enhance their careers. Courses available include; plumbing, furniture making, plastering, brick and blockwork and bench joinery. On successful completion each learner will receive a college certificate. Designed to meet the needs of both enthusiast and professional, the Saturday Skills Workshops will give you all the necessary knowledge and hands-on experience you need to gain useful new skills. Developing Pipework (Plumbing): Introduction to basic tools and their uses, cutting and soldering copper pipe, how to bend copper pipe, using capillary fittings, how to replace tap washers and pressure test a system, waste pipe assembly, checking and replacing radiators, how to install a washing machine and more.
