Course information

The course has been designed to provide an introduction to welding as well as providing an opportunity to meet guest speakers from industry during the programme, therefore building bridges towards improved career prospects.

Studying the Welding skills Bootcamp programme will support you to develop your confidence, team skills, maths, communication, Health & Safety and employability skills. Delivery is 85% practical and 15% theory.

In Welding you will learn how to handle tools safely carry out the relevant practical skills to produce good welded structures, backed up by some classroom theory to introduce you to concepts of Welding and its applications.

You’ll be learning from highly experienced trade professionals who are on hand to provide excellent levels of support.

This 3 week 2 day per week intense welding skills program will cover the use of Manual Metal Arc welders, components and terminology used in the Welding industry. You will learn how to perform welding skills to industry standards.

Bootcamps are open to anyone 19 or over, who are self-employed, employed or unemployed. For those currently not in employed, you will be offered a guaranteed interview with an employer upon successful completion of the bootcamp.
