This one-year introduction will explain the systems, components and terminology used in the automotive industry, you will learn how the systems work and how they interact with one another. By gaining an introduction to all the systems of a car, how they work and how they interact with one another, you will be prepared for the more specialised practical repair, installation and diagnostic elements of further qualifications.

  Entry Requirements

GCSEs in English and maths at grade 4 or above. If you do not meet these entry requirements, we do offer an Entry Level 3 qualification for one year that will then allow you to go on to this diploma.

  Work Experience

As part of your course you will be required to carry out Work Experience and/or an Industry Placement.
