This course is for anyone that had successfully completed the 'Developing Bricklaying' course. The course includes a recognised qualification where you will demonstrate your skill through formal assessment. It will enable you to carry out larger jobs at home or in the garden or it could be the first stage of progression to your new career.

  What You Will Learn

You will develop hand skills to lay bricks quickly and efficently to a high quality. You will build a brick wall in stretcher bond with returns, a block wall with junctions and set out masonry walls to a given tolerance.

This course will enable you to improve your skills to build in line with industry tolerances. We will also cover health and safety and principals of construction in scheduled theory sessions

This introduction course is best suited anyone that is new to bricklaying. This course gives you the basics of bricklaying and the best start to produce basic brick and block walls to a good standard. On completion of the 'Introduction to Bricklaying' you will be able to construct simple stretcher bond walls and quoins. Plastering is an essential finishing trade within the construction industry. Plastering tasks can be varied and consist of internal plaster finishes and external render finishes. You could in time, progress within the industry and deal with more specialist materials like: Specialist external insulation systems Venetian plasters Flowing screeds Design screeds If you have an eye for detail you will excel in the plastering trade.
