Hairdressing Diploma Level 3
Cornwall College St Austell - 9 September 2024
1 Year / 2 days a week
Full-time
Course information
A progression route for Level 2 hairdressers wanting to gain employment within the hairdressing industry. This course is aimed at learners wishing to further their existing hairdressing skills in advanced techniques. You will be expected to attend College for two/three days a week and will be required to work to high professional standards.
A part-time course is also available.
You will train in one of our industry standard salons, work in a realistic environment and use the latest equipment, machinery and products within the industry. When you are confident enough and have practiced the techniques to a level 3 standard, you will be able to provide services to paying clients.
Alongside the training, you will be required to complete work related experience within the industry to enrich your programme of study and gain employability skills. You are also required to complete course work, practice and research in your own time towards completion of this qualification.
You will need to complete external work experience for one day a week.
Our tutors are industry professionals and they will demonstrate the practical techniques as well as best practice so that you can be sure that you are equipped with the skills and know-how to perform these services independently.
Practical skills are developed on training heads - once a level of competence is reached you will work on paying clients.
As with all hairdressing professions, you will need to create the right impression with your clients and must therefore be professional and courteous. Excellent communication skills are essential.
