Event management is a fast-paced, exciting and diverse industry and in order to thrive you will need to be enthusiastic, energetic and very organised.

From weddings and music gigs to exhibitions and sporting events you will get great job satisfaction when you see how successful an event you have been working on has been.

If you’re looking for that first step towards a career in the exciting world of events, then our Live Events & Promotions apprenticeship could be the right choice for you. Throughout the course can expect event management workshops, guest speakers and visits.

You will also have the opportunity to work directly in a technical, artistic and administrative capacity in either small or large scale, indoor or outdoor events, depending on your apprenticeship provider.

Build on the skills you gained at Level 2 and further develop your event management abilities, increasing your knowledge and understanding of practices relating to live events and promotions.

Key industry skills such as how to support the planning, organisation and budgeting of events, how to use various technology platforms, and how to work effectively work with others, including stakeholders.

Entry requirements

Employers will set their own selection criteria although you will need to show a strong commitment to pursuing a career as an event organiser and ideally have a minimum of Level 2 maths and English

Assessment

You can expect continued assessment throughout your course including practical work, written assessments and direct observation.

Progression

Employment, our Level 3 Travel and Tourism Diploma/ Extended Diploma (with events unit) or university, such as our FdA in Event Management.
