This workshop covers the basics of these rewarding and beautiful mediums. It will guide all abilities through different pastel and painting abstract techniques to develop new skills and ideas for using watercolour, acrylic and pastel.

This workshop is suitable for all those who have a little drawing and painting experience as well as the more experienced.

You will be required to provide your own materials for this workshop and a suggested materials list will be provided nearer the start date.

A relaxed and inspirational painting course designed to help beginners to get started with painting, whilst also supporting more advanced painters to develop their skills and techniques. You will be required to provide you own materials for this course so please bring any pencils, paper and acrylic or watercolour paints and brushes you may already have. We advise you not to buy anything new until you have spoken to the tutor at the first lesson where a suggested materials list will be supplied if required. BTEC Level 2 Award in Art and Design

The BTEC Level 2 Award in Art and Design qualification provides opportunities for students to develop a range of visual language skills and techniques as well as support personal qualities and transferable skills required of industry and the world of work. The course consists of practical projects which have been created to provide students with experience of working to assignments that relate closely to those used in the workplace. Students will look at, and respond to, the work of artists, designers and craftspeople. While working on the series of projects they will experiment with a wide range of materials, techniques and processes. There will also be a minimum of 3 hours project based work to complete between sessions. This course will run from 17:00 to 20:00
