This short course aims to teach you two things – how to train your eye to see the shapes of the things you’re looking at from your particular viewpoint and then how to get those shapes down on paper to make a convincing drawing. Practice in these skills will give you a sound working method to draw whatever subject you want.

This is an ideal beginner’s course.

You will be required to provide your own materials for this course and a suggested materials list will be provided nearer the start date.

Improving Your Landscape Photography Workshop

This workshop will start with a trip to one or two local scenic sites (subject to weather conditions). Once there you will learn how to set up and use your digital camera to give the best RAW files for processing in software off camera. Covering techniques for HDR, focus stacking, panorama, selecting the correct exposure (and metering techniques) in challenging lighting conditions and improving your composition. We will then return to the college to process the images to give the best quality and introduce desired effects. Finally producing a print of your best image. You will need your own digital camera and tripod for this workshop. You will also need to provide your own transport to the local scenic sites and the college. Ceramics/Pottery For All (Evening)

No Qualification • Part-time • Cornwall College Camborne


This evening course is suitable for those with or without previous experience. This course offers the opportunities to learn, explore or further develop a variety of taught practices including hand building and throwing techniques. The use of surface patterns, decoration techniques, and a variety of glaze applications will also be taught throughout the course. The emphasis is on you as individual supported and encouraged to realise your own creative intention in a relaxed atmosphere. Materials are provided but please bring an apron or old shirt to protect your clothes and your footwear should not be open toed. *** All our Ceramics/Pottery leisure evening courses are now full for this term. But we suggest that you keep a regular eye on our website for any future courses which will be added as soon as the details have been finalised. *** This course runs on a Thursday evening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm for 10 weeks or 8 weeks (depending on the lenght of the term).
