This course is best suited anyone that had successfully completed the 'Introduction to Plastering' course. The course goes in to more detail and will enable you to develop your plastering skills. It will help you to carry out small jobs at home or it will be a great stepping stone to a new career as a plasterer.

These courses will be condensed into 5 weeks with an attendance from 9.00am-4.00pm with a 30 minute break.

  What You Will Learn

You will develop the use of plastering tools to work efficently and cleanly. You will learn how to install plaster board correctly on vertical surfaces. Prepare areas correctly for new plaster and render finishes and install beads. You will learn the techniques to apply and finish plaster and render surfaces with internal and external corners to a good standard.

As a Level 1 student, you will gain a solid understanding of many aspects of the electrical industry, including wiring circuits, health and safety, installation methods, wiring systems, basic testing, renewables and much more. Our team of lecturer’s and course managers are friendly, approachable and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from a wide variety of electrical backgrounds. They will guide and support you on your journey making sure that you get the most out of the course. The Level 1 diploma is all about introducing you to the electrical industry and developing your essential skills. Successful completion of the course can see you move onto our full time Level 2 course to further develop your skills or perhaps an apprenticeship is more your style and is a great alternative. HNC Construction and the Built Environment

This programme is ideal if you would like to pursue a career in sustainable construction giving you an insight into building surveying, building control, quantity surveying, civil engineering, structural engineering or construction management. This introductory qualification gives you the opportunity to study a focussed selection of traditional and contemporary construction and civil engineering subjects, informed by the needs of industry. It will cover a targeted range of contemporary vocational skills; for example utilising the latest equipment and techniques for surveying, setting out, construction drawing and the sustainable use of building materials; thus enabling you to make an immediate contribution when employed in the construction sector.
