This course is best suited anyone that had successfully completed the 'Introduction to Plastering' course. The course goes in to more detail and will enable you to develop your plastering skills. It will help you to carry out small jobs at home or it will be a great stepping stone to a new career as a plasterer.

These courses will be condensed into 5 weeks with an attendance from 9.00am-4.00pm with a 30 minute break.

  What You Will Learn

You will develop the use of plastering tools to work efficently and cleanly. You will learn how to install plaster board correctly on vertical surfaces. Prepare areas correctly for new plaster and render finishes and install beads. You will learn the techniques to apply and finish plaster and render surfaces with internal and external corners to a good standard.

Furniture Making Apprenticeship

This Level 2 qualification is the ideal starting point if you want to pursue a career as a furniture designer and maker, with a particular focus on wood craft. If you have a creative soul with practical ability, a course in furniture making may be an ideal route to a rewarding career. Furniture design is a specialised field where function and fashion collide. Furniture has evolved and changed with the times, some styles have remained constant throughout the years, while others have drastically changed or become obsolete. We offer two ways to train in furniture design and making, either full-time at college or part-time as an apprentice.
