Creative Metal Artwork Taster

This course is aimed at the beginner and is designed to encourage and develop your thoughts and ideas for different projects.
So, if you have always fancied developing your creative artistic side and want to produce metal artwork, then this is the course for you.


You will learn basic forming and joining techniques to produce metal art features, for the home or as presents.

What you will learn

You will have the opportunity to use various welding and joining processes, marking & measuring equipment, soldering and brazing equipment, plasma cutting, folding, shearing materials, shaping materials using a range of hammers and mallets, to produce a basic projects from the following:

• A Copper rose and leaf on a stem
• A bird
• A Door knocker
• If you have a reasonable project that you wish to produce, then talk to the lecturer who would try to help you realise your ambition.

Depending on the project intricacies, this may mean you would have to provide some additional materials yourself. However we do work closely with our suppliers and they would provide you with sensible prices, should you require additional or specific materials
