This evening course is suitable for those with or without previous experience.

This course offers the opportunities to learn, explore or further develop a variety of taught practices including hand building and throwing techniques. The use of surface patterns, decoration techniques, and a variety of glaze applications will also be taught throughout the course.


The emphasis is on you as individual supported and encouraged to realise your own creative intention in a relaxed atmosphere.

Materials are provided but please bring an apron or old shirt to protect your clothes and your footwear should not be open toed.

This course runs on a Thursday evening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm for 10 weeks or 8 weeks (depending on the lenght of the term).

Silver Bangle & Charm Beginners Jewellery Workshop

This workshop is designed for the beginner. It will cover a variety of techniques to produce a beautiful, individual silver bangle and silver charm, all in one day. The techniques taught will include measuring your bangle size, soldering, texturing and finishing. All of these techniques covered are a good starting block if you wish to continue to learn jewellery making. You will be provided with handouts containing a list of tools and materials used including recommended suppliers. If you catch the jewellery bug on the day, you might then like to book on to our Silver Jewellery Beginners course. These workshops are now full. Learn To Use Your Sewing Machine – Sewing Workshop

No Qualification • Part-time • Cornwall College Camborne


Learn to use your sewing machine - bring along any make or model of sewing machine in good working order and your manual. By the end of the workshop you should feel confident setting up and using your machine. As well as threading, you will learn how to sew seams, neaten edges and sew hems. You will make and complete at least one simple product during the day. For this workshop, as well your own sewing machine (in good working order) and manual, you will need your own sewing kit including scissors, pins, needles, tape measure, tailors chalk or other fabric marker. You will also need to bring your own fabric, thread etc and you will be informed of the amounts nearer the start date. This is a FREE* workshop - so book now so you don't miss out! *This workshop will be free for students who will be 19+ as of 31.08.21 and have not attended the workshop before.
