This evening course is suitable for those with or without previous experience.

This course offers the opportunities to learn, explore or further develop a variety of taught practices including hand building and throwing techniques. The use of surface patterns, decoration techniques, and a variety of glaze applications will also be taught throughout the course.


The emphasis is on you as individual supported and encouraged to realise your own creative intention in a relaxed atmosphere.

Materials are provided but please bring an apron or old shirt to protect your clothes and your footwear should not be open toed.

This course runs on a Thursday evening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm for 10 weeks or 8 weeks (depending on the lenght of the term).

Do you love games? Are you passionate about platformers, barmy for board games and know your RPG stats inside out? Then why not come and join us on the Games Design course and find out what you are capable of! UAL Games Design is a two year, coursework based, practically focused course where you learn the skills needed to move onto University or your first steps into the ever expanding UK games industry. We focus on the development of games and game art and assets, so you don’t need to be a coding master to succeed! From developing pixel art 2D levels to fully textured 3D environments and characters we help you bring your ideas to life through our student focused curriculum. We’ll teach you how to apply essential theories to your thinking and your game products, will support you develop your own games (both digital and physical) and take your aspirations and career aims and make them our number one goal. In the first year of the course you will even create a fully realised board game, use 3D printing techniques and a full production process to launch the product in a live premiere event – and all in just ten days! Making use of the most up to date games development and digital media software you will learn to create with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Animate, After effects and more...3d modelling software such as Autodesk 3ds Max and Autodesk Maya. Introduction to Weaving Workshop

This workshop is a basic introduction to the art of weaving. It will take you through the basic weaving techniques needed to produce a simple wall hanging, and in the process introduce you to some of the terms used in weaving. There will be a small charge for materials, max £5 made on the day, but please feel free to bring along any small amounts of yarn that you feel you might want to use. This is a FREE* workshop - apply for a place now. *This workshop will be free for students who will be 19+ as of 31.08.21 and have not attended the workshop before. If you have already attended this workshop and wish to repeat it a fee will apply This workshop runs on a Saturday from 9.30am to 4.00pm for 1 day. Improving Your Landscape Photography Workshop

No Qualification • Part-time • Cornwall College Camborne


This workshop will start with a trip to one or two local scenic sites (subject to weather conditions). Once there you will learn how to set up and use your digital camera to give the best RAW files for processing in software off camera. Covering techniques for HDR, focus stacking, panorama, selecting the correct exposure (and metering techniques) in challenging lighting conditions and improving your composition. We will then return to the college to process the images to give the best quality and introduce desired effects. Finally producing a print of your best image. You will need your own digital camera and tripod for this workshop. You will also need to provide your own transport to the local scenic sites and the college.
