The Basketball League sessions are a natural lead on session from our Basketball for Beginners course. These sessions are delivered by a qualified Sports Coach with over 18 years experience and are fun filled and interactive.
All the activities are carried out in our Cornwall College Camborne Sports Hall. The sessions are planned with great detail to ensure that all the attendees make progress in skills including balance, coordination, movement skills, throwing, catching and jumping. The Basketball League sessions run in 8 week blocks and all ability levels are welcome.
What You Will Learn
Basketball is a team sport that can develop teamwork and leadership skills, as well as confidence and self esteem. Playing basketball helps to improve motor coordination, flexibility, and endurance. It also encourages speed, agility, and strength. These skills are shown to have a positive effect on promoting a healthy body weight and encouraging more physical activity, which can enhance cardiorespiratory fitness and muscular endurance.
