For this Workshop you will need your own sewing machine (in good working order) and manual and your own sewing kit including scissors, pins, needles, tape measure and tailor's chalk or other fabric marker.

You will also need to bring your own fabric, thread, lining etc and you will be informed the amounts nearer the start date.

Alice’s fashion designs have been seen on celebrities such as Rita Ora, Miley Cyrus, Paris Hilton and Jessie J, she also collaborates with some major manufacturers including Care Bears, My Little Pony and Hello Kitty.

“I knew I wanted to be a fashion designer and the course at Camborne covered lots of different disciplines, which was great as it gave me a wonderful overview of all the various paths open to me and I particularly remember enjoying life drawing. From there I was accepted by The University of Plymouth to study fashion design and on completion of my degree I then moved back to Cornwall and got a job at a high-end fashion boutique, which introduced me to the spectrum of fashion.

My goal was to have my designs on the catwalk at the Clothes Show, so I worked hard, researched a lot, got signed by a portfolio agency and was then contacted by the stylist who wanted me to be involved in the designs for the opening sequence to the show. From there I received work from the X-Factor, Got to Dance and worked with Vogue on a Range Rover launch. "

Silver Jewellery – Improvers (Evening)

This course is designed for individuals who feel confident using basic jewellery techniques, such as those taught during the beginner course, e.g. soldering, piecing, filing etc (please see Silver Jewellery Beginners course description). This course will enable the participant to create lovely silver jewellery with bezel set semi-precious stones advancing to the skill of setting popular locally found sea glass and will also include guidance on how to apply these techniques to design and make your own individual jewellery. Materials are provided for the first project and your tutor will advise you of where you can buy any further materials you need. Silver Bangle & Charm Beginners Jewellery Workshop

This workshop is designed for the beginner. It will cover a variety of techniques to produce a beautiful, individual silver bangle and silver charm, all in one day. The techniques taught will include measuring your bangle size, soldering, texturing and finishing. All of these techniques covered are a good starting block if you wish to continue to learn jewellery making. You will be provided with handouts containing a list of tools and materials used including recommended suppliers. If you catch the jewellery bug on the day, you might then like to book on to our Silver Jewellery Beginners course. Art Textiles (Evening)

A friendly and relaxed course which allows you to explore a variety of textile processes and creative ideas. We will be using a range of artists and examples of their artwork as a starting point for conversation, inspiration and idea development. It would be helpful if you had a portable sewing machine that you can bring with you to some sessions, preferably one that does free machine embroidery. Some materials will be provide for this course. A list will be provided at the start/during the course of any other materials that you may need to bring with you.
