Access to Nursing, Health and Social Care

This course is for adults which, once completed will provide learners with the entry requirements to progress onto a university degree or Higher Apprenticeship in the healthcare sector.

This is an opportunity to complete a 60 credit Diploma in 22 weeks instead of 35. The Access to HE Diploma is validated by the Cambridge Access Validating Agency which is licensed by the QAA.

What you will learn

The Access to HE Diploma consists of academic study in subjects relevant to healthcare; Human Biology, Psychology and Sociology. Lessons are delivered through lectures, seminars and practical work. Students will be continuously assessed and graded in various ways which will include written work, discussions, presentations and timed-assessments.

This subject specific study is complimented by a set of study skills units to support learners with their academic work.

GCSE English and Level 2 in maths

Assessment

Assignment based coursework and sometimes assessment by exam.

Progression

After this course you could further your education with a university degree or higher apprenticeship.
