you are a practitioner who Leads the Internal Quality Assurance Process, within an Assessment Centre/Organisation; and have a responsibility for managing the quality of the assessment process, practice and the performance of Assessors. They may also develop systems and lead on visits from outside agencies such as Awarding Organisations.
experience of working as a QCF/NVQ Assessor.
Your role would also require a level of responsibility of Leading and Managing the QA process.
A one day induction to the course will cover the background knowledge and understanding aspects of the Award and the role as the Lead Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) you will be required to carry out.
Within the Assessment Centre, you will Lead the QA process and allocate work, within your own area of responsibility. As an IQA you will also be required to work closely with at least two assessors, each with a minimum of two candidates of their own, through components of a qualification. In your role as Lead IQA, you will also work with and co-ordinate with others from External Agencies i.e. Awarding Organisations, as well as meeting with your Course Tutor/Assessor regularly and build a portfolio of evidence.
