The skills required for many occupations are best learnt by combining learning through work. This is the heart of an apprenticeship; it is the intertwined learning and working relationship that makes apprenticeships unique. Apprenticeships, particularly in high skilled trades, are of crucial and continuing importance to the UK economy.
To become a fully qualified light vehicle technician you need to complete the Level 2 apprenticeship that usually takes two years. On successful completion you can progress to the Level 3 advanced apprenticeship. If you want to work on your skills and knowledge before starting an apprenticeship, we can offer you a one-year full-time course first to build your confidence to enter the workplace.
This two-year course will introduce you to a variety of specialist topics to further your knowledge and understanding of vehicles.
