Automotive Maintenance & Repair Advanced Apprenticeship

Cornwall College St Austell | Camborne LEVEL: 3 Motor Vehicle

The skills required for many occupations are best learnt by combining learning through work. This is the heart of an apprenticeship; it is the intertwined learning and working relationship that makes apprenticeships unique. Apprenticeships, particularly in high skilled trades, are of crucial and continuing importance to the UK economy.

To become a fully qualified light vehicle mechanic you need to complete the Level 3 apprenticeship that usually takes three years. If you want to work on your skills and knowledge before starting an apprenticeship, we can offer you a one year full-time course first to build your confidence to enter the workplace.

This new standard apprenticeship offers you a specialist route to train and qualify for a specific career as a light vehicle mechanical engineer. You will be at college one day a week for three years, while working, earning and learning.
