Our Level 2 course will give you the basic training you need to prepare you for a career in the Armed Forces, Emergency and Rescue services, the fire, police, ambulance, UK Border force as well as, Non-uniformed roles, civil service, voluntary or private security sector.

You would like a career in either the uniformed, non-uniformed protective services or emergency coastal services.
English and maths at Functional Skills Level 2, plus successful completion of a fitness assessment.
During the course you will study a range of core modules including investigating employment in the uniformed services, physical fitness for the uniformed services, developing team working and problem solving skills, health and safety in the uniformed services, health and hygiene in the uniformed services, how to follow uniformed service routine and exploring equality and diversity for the uniformed services. You will also study a number of modules related to the career path that you wish to pursue.
To gain a wide variety of skills and knowledge from a range of units related to protective and military service. You will undertake practical military training and education in order to equip you with the necessary skills to enable you to make decisions on which service to apply for and to prepare you in all respects for initial selection.
Our strong industry links with the Royal Marine Commando Training Centre Lympstone and HMS Raleigh. We also have accommodation on campus at Bicton College and Duchy College Stoke Climsland.
