Fabrication & Welding EMTA Diploma

This course is ideal if you are working as a fabricator or welder and wish to improve your skills and knowledge. Level 3 will build on existing knowledge and develop advanced skills in machining, electrical and welding.
You must be employed and have gained GCSE grades C or above in English, maths and science, or already have achieved a Level 2 qualification. Assessment is open to any learner who has the potential to achieve the assessment criteria set out in the assessment.
The Performing Engineering Operations units involved in gaining this qualification must be delivered in a realistic work environment, before the Level 3 units are undertaken in the your workplace.
The qualification is assessed by:
- portfolio of assessment
- verbal/written questioning
- witness testimony
- assessor observations.
Performance evidence must be the main form of evidence gathered. In order to demonstrate consistent competent performance for a unit, a minimum of three different examples of performance of the unit activity will be required.
