Andrew Gasiorowski ICT Technician Brannel School

When he left school Andrew worked in hotels and bars, but felt that this was not a career he wanted to pursue and decided to start an IT apprenticeship, as this was something he had an interest in. Andrew then started working for Brannel School and has won apprentice of the year.

"I realised college could support me with my learning while the
job would give me the valuable skills and confidence I needed
to succeed. During my apprenticeship I worked 37 hours at the
school, studied for exams, completed coursework and finished my
apprenticeship early. I am now employed at Brannel School as a
full-time ICT technician. I would recommend an apprenticeship to
everyone. After your apprenticeship there is always the chance that
you will be offered a full-time job by your employer, if not you still
have your foot on the ladder of your chosen industry.”
