If you really enjoy making things and would like to become a professional skilled crafts person, have a think about our Creative Craft for Industry apprenticeship. On this two year programme you will join a local craft business developing new skills to get you qualified. You’ll do lots of practical work in an area that interests you including; ceramics, pottery, leather work, metal work and glass work. You’ll learn from both experienced crafts people and senior lecturers, attending college just one day a week and be earning while learning.

whilst you are in a job with an accompanying college programme, which will develop your study skills and ensure that you pass the qualification. You will have access to technical knowledge and real practical experience, along with functional and personal skills. The course covers a wide range of specialist skills which could include: ceramics, pottery, jewellery, textiles, fashion, leather work, metal work, blacksmithing, glass work.
to learn many new skills, such as practical skills relevant to your chosen craft, study skills and employability skills, which will help you make excellent progress in your career.
to learn from a qualified and experienced crafts person, working in a professional environment whilst having the benefits from college resources through a one day release programme from your employment.
