  • Planning and sourcing your crops
  • Crop rotation
  • Propgation
  • Pests and diseases
  • Feeds and compost
  • Soils and mulching
  • No-dig methods
  • Transplanting and planting out
  • Aftercare

Working in the farm's fields, glasshouses and polytunnels, this course acts as a good introduction to all aspects of growing organic vegetables from seed to harvest.

Expect:

The course take place at School Farm CSA, a certified organic community farm on the beautiful Dartington estate, near Totnes, Devon.

The farm grows a variety of crops, utilizing different methods, to provide enough vegetables for their 67 veg box customers. Course teaching is delivered by the CSA’s staff, all experienced growers who have themselves been through the process of gaining qualifications in organic growing before they launched their own farm enterprise.
