In February 2014, we attained the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for our leadership of skills development across the region’s rural economy. In 2015 Duchy College (part of The Cornwall College Group) merged with Bicton College to become the region’s largest land-based education and training provider.

Phillip Hruza Programme Manager - Arboriculture
Phillip has worked in the industry for 10 years, progressing from a full-time climber to running his own business. He started working with Bicton College as an instructor and now manages the arboriculture programme. His specialism is practical aerial arboriculture; helping students to learn the skills and techniques to work safely and efficiently making sure they are fully prepared for the demands of the industry.
