GCSEs in English and maths at grade D or 3. You will also need a keen interest in the subject and an employer willing to hire you as an apprentice.

Phillip Hruza Programme Manager - Arboriculture
Phillip has worked in the industry for 10 years, progressing from a full-time climber to running his own business. He started working with Bicton College as an instructor and now manages the arboriculture programme. His specialism is practical aerial arboriculture; helping students to learn the skills and techniques to work safely and efficiently making sure they are fully prepared for the demands of the industry.
