Taking cuttings is a good way to propagate a wide range of plants. This course will teach you how to improve your success rates by taking cuttings form a range of plants. During this course you will discuss the selection of plant material for cuttings, the control of common pests and diseases, and explore the use of propagation equipment.

You will learn about cutting techniques for a range of plants, as well as using propagation equipment, creating a good propagation environment, and problem solving in the propagation process.


This one day practical course to give you the opportunity to propagate a range of plants in the Bicton College walled garden and glasshouse.
